Registration instructions for the first semester of 2026/2027

The following procedures apply to registration and payment of tuition fees for the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.

First: Settlement of previous financial obligations and the advance payment for registration.

The student must pay the university fees and all previous debts in cash at the university's approved funds by the end of the summer semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, and an advance payment according to the following schedule:

 

Second: Chapter One:

The student is personally responsible academically, financially and administratively, and registration by others is not accepted except under a valid legal power of attorney.

Online registration for the first semester begins as follows:

1.    Students expected to graduate at the end of the first semester who have 21 credit hours or less remaining to complete their study plan by 9/19/2026

2.    Students whose grades are above (2) 20- 21/9/2026

3.    Students who are struggling and whose cumulative grade point averages have dropped below 2 points during the days of 22-24 / 9 / 2026.

3.    The free add/drop period: It starts from 9/25/2026 until 9/29/2026 via the student's electronic account, provided that the number of registered hours is not less than 12 hours.

Any course that is withdrawn within the limits of 12 is considered a forced withdrawal, and the student will receive a grade of W in the course and will lose the full fees for the said course .

 

v   Registration rules for the first semester:

1.    Students' course load is linked to their cumulative grade point average, and the academic advisor must guide the student in choosing their courses in order to protect them from being dismissed from the university due to academic warnings.

2.    The college deanship has the right, for reasons related to matching registration among all students, to make transfers for students within the categories of courses they registered for without falling into conflicts , so that students retain their registration in the courses without being restricted to the times and dates of the lectures that they chose .

3.    Courses are opened for students who have repeatedly failed, for graduation purposes, and to help students raise their cumulative grade point averages.

4.    The course load and registration priorities in colleges are determined according to the cumulative grade point average as follows in all colleges:

 

Those whose semester average is 3 can register for 21 credit hours across all colleges.

Graduation: The maximum limit if the student registers for all remaining courses.

Remedial study: In accordance with Resolution 21 of 2014, it includes:

1.    Students in the remedial study phase, regardless of their cumulative GPA, are allowed to register for between 12 and 15 hours only, and are obligated to register for the failed courses that are opened inevitably.

2.    A student whose cumulative grade point average is between 1.9 and 1.99 and who has no outstanding failed courses is allowed to register for 3 new courses exclusively by submitting a request to the Dean of the College and is required to complete the course load with courses with conditional passing.

3.    A student whose cumulative grade point average is between 1.50 and 1.89 and who has not been able to register for the maximum course load (12 hours of failed and conditionally passing courses ) is allowed to register for only one newly opened course or a previously completed course to complete the course load to 12 credit hours and no more.

4.    A student undergoing remedial study is not entitled to delete any failed or conditional course that was previously registered and add a new course in its place according to the registration rules mentioned above.

 

All requests submitted by students for deletion, addition, withdrawal, approval of new course registration, and exceptions, in accordance with the above regulations, are approved by the Dean of the College and implemented by him on the academic system according to the available powers and the period specified for that purpose.

 

·       Start of classes: Classes will begin on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in all colleges.

Late payment penalties:

Penalty for unpaid fees for the first semester:

(10%) of the remaining balance of the fees due, with the due date being 1 10/2026​

Late registration fee for courses (1000) SYP

It will be applied starting from 1/10/2026 to all students who are late in registering for the first semester of 2026/2027.

Thirdly - Case of dismissal from jurisdiction:

·       This situation is clarified by academic advisors after reviewing the student's detailed academic status.

·       A student who has been dismissed from their major must submit an official application to enroll in remedial studies if their cumulative GPA is (1) point or more, or a request to change their major, within a period not exceeding 10/2026 .

Fourth - Rules for forced withdrawal from one or more courses and academic suspension:

·       Applications to withdraw from one or more courses begin in the fourth week of the first semester. The student receives a grade of W, and the course's effect on the semester and cumulative GPA of the student's academic record is cancelled . The student loses the full course fees .

·       If a student wishes to withdraw all of their registered courses, they must submit a request to freeze their studies and will forfeit the full semester fees.

·       The deadline for submitting requests for forced withdrawal or suspension of studies is the end of official working hours on 19-1-2027
