- Marks shall be calculated and registered for each course in percentage, indicating the number of credit hours.
- The final score for each course is the sum of the marks of the quarterly activities, including examinations.
- The final exam for the course shall be held once at the end of the semester. The exam shall be written and comprehensive and shall be allocated 50% of the total mark of the course. In case of violation, the distribution of the mark shall be in accordance with the nature of the course as recommended by the Department Council and approved by the College Council and be announced at the start of every academic year.
The semester work of each course includes the following :
- At least two written exams or as determined by the College Board, if necessary.
- Other activities such as short and oral exams, reports, research, etc.
- Students shall be informed of the dates of the written exams at least one week before the scheduled date. The first and second exam papers shall be returned after being corrected to the students without delay no later than two weeks from the date of the examination and within one week of the examination during the summer session.
- Students shall be informed to distribute the marks within the course plan distributed by the faculty member to the students in the first week of the semester.
Absence from Exams :
- Any student who is absent from an announced exam shall submit a written excuse to the teacher of the course within three days from the date of the excuse and the teacher may accept the excuse or reject it and submit it to the competent excuse committee.
- In case the student is absent from one of the exams with an acceptable excuse, the exam shall be held within one week of the excuse being removed or calculated according to the equation used by the Deanship of Registration in such cases.
- If the student is absent from one of the exams without an acceptable excuse, he shall be assigned a zero mark in that exam.
- Each student absent from the final exam without an acceptable excuse shall be assigned a zero mark in that exam.
- Any student who misses the final exam with an excuse must apply to the Deanship of Student Affairs and his application shall be referred to the excuses committee provided for.
Cheating in exams:
- No student shall enter the examination hall after distributing the questions.
- The student may not take with him in the examination hall any book or any means of communication or anything related to the course or any piece of paper even if it is free of writing except as allowed by the dean at the request of the professor of the course.
- The student is prohibited from speaking during the exam or doing any work in violation of the examination system. In case of violation, the head of the hall warns the violating student. If the student repeats the violation, he must leave the examination room and his exam is considered void in the course in which the violation was committed and given a zero score.
- A. Any student who is discovered to have any material related to the course of the examination shall be discharged from the examination hall and shall be considered void in the course in which the violation was committed and shall be referred to the disciplinary committee. The head of the classroom may inspect the student or order his inspection if there is strong evidence to suggest that the student has possession of anything related to the exam course.
B. Any student who tries to cheat in any form or is caught cheating in the exam must leave the examination room, and his exam is void in the course in which the violation was committed and referred to the Discipline Committee.
C. The student shall be punished by dismissal from the university if it is proved that he has impersonated another person in order to present the exam for him.
D. The student shall be taken from the exam hall in the previous cases by the dean or his representative or the head of the hall.
E. In all cases, the incident shall be regulated and submitted to the Dean.
Objection to the final exam :
- If a student wishes to review a final examination paper in a subject, he/she must apply to the Admission and Registration Department within two weeks of the announcement of the results and the student pays a non-refundable fee.
- Appeals shall be collected at the Admission and Registration Department and sent to the concerned departments for consideration.
- The course instructor shall verify that there is no material error in the collection of marks or correct questions and raise the result of the appeal by the head of the department to the dean of the concerned college to approve the result of the appeal within two weeks from the date of the expiry of the objection and then submitted to the President of the University for approval.
- The result of the objection shall be submitted to the Admission and Registration Department on a form to amend the results, if necessary, within the period specified in sub-article no.3 of this article.
1. The minimum mark of success in any subject is 60%.
2. In case the student withdraws from the course after the first week until the end of the eighth week (the fourth week of the summer semester) from the start of the study, a withdrawer (WP) shall be registered for that course.
3. A score (incomplete) of the course in which the student is absent from the final examination shall be recorded with an acceptable excuse.
4. The student must work to remove his (incomplete) for the course in which he has missed the final exam with an acceptable excuse before the deadline for the late withdrawal of the next semester.
1. The student may not re-study any non-specialized subject in which he obtained a score of 65% or more.
2. The credits for that one-time course shall be calculated for the purpose of calculating the number of credit hours required for graduation.
3. In the case of restudying courses, all marks are entered in the academic record, and the last grade is calculated only for the purposes of completing the graduation requirements and calculating the GPA and for the purposes of calculating the specialization rate.
Bachelor's Degree Requirements:
1. The student should pass all the required courses according to the plan of his department and obtain a cumulative grade point average of not less than 60%.
2. He must not exceed the upper limit for the prescribed years of graduation.
3. He must have completed the required field training hours according to the study plan in his department (if any).
4. He must pass the general graduation exam (if any).
5. He must be a regular student and registered in the last two semesters at the University.
Rates and estimates:
a. Semester average:
Average calculation of the final marks in the courses studied in that semester where it is calculated as follows:
The score of each course is multiplied by the number of credit hours.
Collect the multiplied mark.
The set of multiplied marks is divided by the number of hours registered in that semester.
B. Cumulative average:
The average of all the final marks of all the subjects studied by the student whether he succeeded or failed so that the last mark of the restudied material is calculated until the date of calculating the average, and calculated by the way in which the semester average is calculated.
C. GPA on graduation:
The cumulative GPA that is included in the grades of the courses that fall within the student's study plan only upon graduation. In the case of restudying courses, only the last grades are calculated.
1. All averages are calculated to the nearest one decimal rank.
2. Percentages shall allocate the marks and estimates shown for each of them.
3. Graduation is based on the CGPA as follows:
From 95 to 100
From 85 to below 95
From 75 to below 85
From 65 to below 75
From 60 to below 65
Calculation of credit hours from outside the university (for regular university students):
1. The student is absolved from restudying the courses he has already studied in other universities in coordination between the academic department concerned and the Department of Admission and Registration.
2. His score in each course should not be less than the pass mark in the university where he studied that course.
3. The number of such hours may not exceed one third of the required hours in his field.
4. A student is allowed to register in the summer semester after obtaining the approval of his department and coordinating with the admission and registration department at another university.
5. A student must study his last two regular semesters at the university.
6. One semester will be deducted from the upper limit of the graduation years for every 15 credit hours calculated for the student from outside the university.
